PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA OF USA, A SON OF AFRICA.

The emergence of Barack Obama of African descent, as president of United States of America, is by God’s providence. I believe God Almighty intended him to be to Africa in land of US, what biblical Joseph was to Israel in the land of Egypt. There is close similarity between Joseph and Obama; in the migration and rising to be rulers in the lands of their captivities. The Lord raised them up specifically to provide succour for their people.
Joseph the son of Jacob, was taken as a slave to the land of Egypt. Many years later, God mysteriously made him a ruler in Egypt. He fulfilled the Lord’s purpose of nurturing and preserving his people. He brought them to the country: provided accommodation and fed them. He took good care of them until his death.
President Obama had a humble beginning, which helped to prepare him for the task of being President of the most powerful nation. He is of African descent. He was born to white American mother, Ann Dunham, and a black Kenyan father, Barack Obama Sr. The father returned to Kenya as government official. Then Obama Jr. returned to Hawaii, where he was nurtured by his grand-parents. They lived in small apartment. The grand-father was a furniture salesman; while mother worked in the bank.
The father used to write him frequently, as he traveled to many countries, on business trip for Kenyan Government. He only visited young Obama once when he was ten years. At school in Columbia university, he was confronted with racial tension there. He organized a small Chicago Church based group for years to help the poor.
God Almighty brought Obama from Africa to  be US President. Other Afro-Americans have tried to be in that position; but failed at one time or the other. But his was different. His ascending that exulted position in 2009, was a climax of the fulfillment of Rev. Martin Luther King Junior’s speech. His ‘dream’ came to fulfillment; consolidated by his re-election in 2012. Rev Luther’s “I have a dream” speech talked much about equality among American of races and religions. We vehemently condemned racial segregation as far back as 1960s, when he was alive. His dream actually came to fulfillment with election of Barack Obama as President, who abolished all forms racial discrimination, especially against the blacks.

His re-election in 2012, was clearly an act of God Almighty. At a stage he was running neck-to-neck in opinion poll with his Republican challenger, Romney. It was very unpredictable who between them would win US Presidency. There was a period Romney was leading in opinion poll. And multitude of people were praying and rooting for Obama; including us in Africa, as he is one of us. Then , came the game changer- the sandy hurricane. Many people believed the hurricane was a sign from Heaven that God backed Obama. It was a God-given opportunity for Obama to display his power of incumbency. He seized it ruthlessly.

He was very visible on the ground in the worst hit state of New Jersey. The reward was immediate. He won the hearts of multitude of voters, who would have voted against him. After the announcement of his victory in the Presidential election, many people were shouting, “hurricane Obama.” It was “hurricane aided” victory for Barack Jr. It was powerful enough to blow him back to White House. That very slim victory underscores what God Almighty can do, in spite of all odds.
Coming to power of Barack Obama has virtually put to an end the discrimination against blacks and other races in US. Segregation and discrimination have become history now. People in America now see themselves as same nationality, irrespective of colour and ancestry. He was really a unifying factor. Hear him, I will end the war in Iraq. We will have our troops home in sixteen months. I will close Guantanamo. I will restore habeas corpus. I will finish the fight against Al Qaeda. And I will lead the world to combat the common threats of the 21st century – nuclear weapons and terrorism; climate change and poverty; genocide and disease. And I will send once more a message to those yearning faces beyond our shores that says, “You matter to us. Your future is our future. And our moment is now.”
He made some remarkable achievements in his first term of four years in office: his battle against terrorism in the world, and dictatorship in Africa, are outstanding. His reign ushered in the demise of dreaded Bin Laden, and some of his surrogates. President Obama played a role in no small measure, to the removal of several sit-tight dictators in Africa countries: in Libya, Egypt, Ivory Coast, etc………
However, a lot has to be done in his second term in office, in helping the Africa continent to combat: dictatorship, poverty, terrorism, or rebel activities. He owes the continent the moral obligation, to help rescue her from multi-dimensional problems. Before now, the continent had been bedeviled by wicked and tribal rulers, who forced themselves into power through insurgence, and massive rigging of elections. During their rebel or insurgence activities, their tribesmen form the bases of their support. They have in ordinate ambition for carving out kingdoms for themselves; to control and exploit the mineral resources in their territory to enrich themselves.

Rebel activities still abound in: East and Central Africa: Uganda, Congo, Rwanda, Chad, etc. Some of the rebel leaders, when they succeed in overthrowing the incumbent Presidents, they now become the new presidents of their countries. Then, their predecessors, whom they ousted, turn to ‘rebels’ in order to in attempt to recapture power. And the viscous circle continues. Situation in Chad is a typical example. Some of the rulers in African countries were two or three-time rebels. They overthrew the incumbent in power. Later, they themselves would be overthrown or forced out of power. Then, they would go back to the bush to fight their way to the seat of power.

They can be likened to a professional boxer like Mohamed Ali, who became champion up to three times. He was defeated in a title fight. He went back to the gym, to train and fight his way back to regain his title. He was knocked out again; he still went back to the gym. There are some rulers in Africa who alternate between being rebel leaders and rulers. Their own ‘gym’ in time of defeat is the bush, where they fight for power and money. These rebel leaders and their subordinates, employ all inhuman and diabolical means to seize power. So many of them are fetish and belong to secret societies, where they seek for evil and fake powers. Juju priests and native doctors counsel them to be involved in ritual murders and rape; in order to revive their diabolical powers. They are still living primitive lives in this modern age!

As a result they commit despicable acts; where they kill people with impunity, as well as abusing women and girls. They have sold themselves to the devils for evil powers. These ill-educated military juntas, seem to forget that God Almighty, the creator of the whole universe,  reigns in the kingdoms of men. He removes whoever he wants to remove from whatever position; and replaces him with whoever He wills, even the basest of men. They should have a change of heart, before God comes down to rain judgement upon them. Wicked rulers, dictators, and their likes hardly die old or peacefully. They die crying!

They should take a cue from how most evil rulers and despots ended up: Late Emperor of Central African Republic; Samuel Doe of Liberia; Idi Amin of Uganda, and others. God Almighty said, “He that sheds blood, shall have his own blood shed by man, for in the image of God created he man. He who lives by the sword, shall die by the sword. He that is often advised and hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and without remedy. Bloody and evil men shall not live out half their days. They are like some grass that grow on the field, that will soon be cut down. After a while, you will look for them, and you will not see them again”. Mark the upright man. He is like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Where is Hitler today?

I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away and lo, he was not: yea I sought for him, but he could not be found. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

Samuel Doe butchered his adversary alive, because he was in power. But at God’s appointed time, He judged him. He was butchered alive, just as he did to his fellow human being. Similar incidence was recorded many years ago: “But Adoni-Bezek fled, and they pursued after him, and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes. And Adoni-Bezek said, three score and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their meat under my table: as I have done, so God has requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died—Judges 1: 6-7.   The evils that men do live with them. Virtually all dictators practise cannibalism (eating of human flesh).

Generality of terrorists and insurgents are victims of false teachings and false religions. People shouldn’t be deceived by false religions and false teachers into believing they will eventually go to Paradise and marry many virgins, if they engage in wanton destruction of lives and property, of innocent and defenceless people. The truth is that when die in their wickedness, they will automatically go hell, along with their mentors and sponsors. There, they will look for virgins to marry, they won’t see. Instead, they will be engulfed in an unquenchable fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Murderers and their likes, shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

They allow themselves to be brainwashed to: kill people, destroy property, and rape. Many of these destroyers in the world today, pass through “Almajiri Camps”- breeding ground for miscreants in the society. There, some bare-footed, gworo (kola)-chewing mallams, indoctrinate them to see people of other religions as infidels; that should be destroyed old and young, along with their belongings. Wages of these half-baked, self-appointed indoctrinators (sorry teachers); are the proceeds from street begging of Almajiris. The former make blood money! We thank God some Governments are abolishing that obnoxious Almajiri system. Nigerian Federal Government is doing a lot to build rehabilitation schools and centres, and give them formal education, as well as train them in skill acquisition, in the North.

It will go a long way to drastically reduce religious riots in the North; as they are being used by the elite for wanton killings of people to further their selfish political ambitions. These unscrupulous persons highly placed in the society, will have no option then to recruit their own children and close relatives, for destruction of lives.

We in Africa expect much from him, more than any US president that has ever lived, to bring massive development and investments to the continent. We desire direct investments in employment-generating industries like: Petro-chemicals and refineries, iron and steel companies, factories etc. Let Us investors be directly involved. Most of money given to government in power are frittered away. That is why mass unemployment, hunger and poverty have remained the order of the day. Let the International Community be directly involved in massive investment  in African countries.

Wicked rulers and dictators, should no longer be allowed to ruined their respective countries, in the guise of non-interference in the internal affairs of member countries. This clause was like a ‘killer license’ granted to devil-incarnates to oppress their citizens they rule: to kill and maim at the slightest provocation. It has now dawned on the society, including African leaders, that when these wicked and callous rulers cause huge refugee problems, as a result of conflicts and wars, it will no longer be internal affairs that member country. Other countries will now be involved sending relief materials and peace keeping operations. AU, UN, and other bodies need to take pre-emptive measures to remove those: occult masters, cannibals, and wicked rulers, who have hoisted themselves on the masses. Let them be arrested to face international Criminal Court (ICC), for crimes against humanity. When the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice. But, when the wicked is in power, the people mourn. May God Almighty never allow dare-devil rulers, to ravage African countries again. Of course, He dealt with many of them, and swept them away from their exulted positions at various times.

Remember what the Lord deed to Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia. Hear him, “the same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that live for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation.

All inhabitants  of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand or say unto him, what do you do? At the same time, my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, and the excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the king of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgement: and those that work in pride he is able to abase”—Daniel 4:33-37.

We urge President Obama of United States, to extend his battle against terrorism in the world, to all parts of Africa. The battle against terrorism is not an internal affair of any country. Casualties cut across nationalities: like the suicide bombing of the twin buildings of World Trade Centre in US several years ago.  A lot of people of various nations died. As well, the suicide bombing of United Nations building in Abuja, Nigeria few years ago, claimed lives of many, some of whom are were not Nigerians. All hands should be on deck to fight evil in the society. He has really made significant efforts in recent time in this direction. He was part of the efforts to restore normalcy in Mali, along side with Nigeria, France and host of other countries.

We want US and other powerful nations to do more in combating the menace of terrorist groups, that are springing up here and there in African continent. Disgruntled political office seekers and other elite in the continent are now sponsoring religious fanatics and other terrorist groups, to further selfish ambitions. They also use religious fanatism, to divert people’s attention away from their misrule. Let Obama utilize his God-given position to fight the ‘triplet’ monsters of: terrorism, dictatorship, and poverty in Africa in particular; and the world in general.
