We appeal to nations to stop arms struggle, and channel resources in alleviating poverty and hardships in the society. It is good to note country like North Korea, is beginning to open up more to outside world: allowing for Church establishment among others. We also call on other countries’ leaders, who have “nuclear buttons” on the tables, to give peace a chance by destroying them. Let tribalism, nepotism, religious bigotry, and all worth not, come to an end. God the creator of the universe, is slow to anger but mighty in power. He will not allow the guilty to go unpunished.
Jehovah Greater Than All Nations
We call on leaders or rulers of nations to embrace peace, and shun any act that can maim and kill people indiscriminately. The horrour of first and second world wars, are still fresh in the mind. One cannot forget the nuclear holocaust in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan: where multitude of people perished, with extensive damages to the environment. This war mongering attitude, or military superiority complex, of leaders of some nations should be discarded.
We should all realize there is a creator of the whole universe, watching over events in the world. He is Almighty God, slow to anger but mighty in power. Science, religion, whatever, have proved His existence. Only the ignorant people are yet to believe He exists. We ought to know this earth we are living in for the meantime, is very tiny and insignificant, compared with the whole universe. If the universe is divided into a trillion parts; the earth is not up to one of them.
The LORD has the power to wipe out the entire earth, including rulers and the ruled, in a twinkling of an eye. Therefore, fear God and depart from destructive plans; for by the fear of God men depart from evil. The nations are like a drop in the ocean. “Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he takes up the isles as a very little thing. All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity”—Isaiah: 40: 15 & 17.
“What is man, that you are mindful of him, and the son of man, that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honour. You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet: Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passes away”—Psalms 8:4,5 &144:4. There are lots of creatures more bulky than human beings. They include whales, hippopotamus and some snakes that can swallow human beings. But, God chose to make man have dominion over other creatures: and to subdue the earth. But pride goes before a fall.
All your so-called weapons of mass destruction, are nothing before the LORD. We shouldn’t provoke Jehovah God to destroy this world before time. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” One day He will destroy this world in His anger; because of the wickedness going on in it.
“And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”
The LORD responds through thunder and lightening. You cannot stay in the open, or outside a building during thunder storm. That will show you He is great. Everybody will scamper for safety; both big and small. Thunder storm can scatter or bring any structure down. Quest for supremacy over other nations, should be by the ability to provide the good things of life for them; and not to destroy them. Send food and other relief materials to them. There is much hunger especially in developing countries. Help to industrialize and develop these nations. World powers, and intending ones, need to provide for less privileged nations; rather than selling weapons of mass destruction to them to kill themselves.
Causing people to fear or tremble before you, is not a mark of greatness. Genuine greatness comes through service to God and humanity. Remember, the LORD has timed your stay on this earth. At the end of your days, you will depart from this world through death: to give account of your life to your creator. For everyone must render account of his life to Almighty God.
Nigeria Needs A True Leader
The crux of Nigeria’s worsening security problem, is selfish and bad leaders we have. When the head is sick, it affects the rest of parts of the body.
When we have a true leader; tribalism, nepotism, aiding and abetting rapist, terrorist groups, as well as the sponsored Fulani Terrorist Herdsmen, will be things of the past. It appears leadership in Nigeria is getting worse with time; since the so-called independence from imperialist Britain.
Eligibility requirements for electing people into positions of trust, should be thoroughly reviewed. This calls for close scrutiny of our rulers, before they are allowed to contest elective positions. The National Assembly legislators should urgently enact a strong law, raising the academic qualification required, for those contesting for positions of: President, Vice President, Governor and Deputy Governor. It should be a minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND), from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning.
That somebody has a Diploma in warfare or fighting, is not enough to rule a vast country or state. Nobody with sound educational background, will allow senseless killings, and bloodletting to continue in his country. Experience has shown that virtually all dictators or authoritarian rulers in African countries and beyond, have certain things in common. They have poor educational background; and are involved in diabolism. The devils they go to for fake powers, give them wicked instructions on how to make life difficult or unbearable, for the people they rule.
For instance, take a look at the evil rulers like Idi Amin of Uganda, Emperor Bokassa of Central African Republic, and Samuel Doe of Liberia. Compare them with personalities like Julius Nyerere of Tanzania, Nelson Mandela of South Africa, and other renowned world leaders in America, Germany, France, etc. It is like comparing darkness with light. Ill-education and diabolism are twin evils which have befallen tyrants in Africa and elsewhere. Our assemblymen are shying away from their responsibilities, to ensure that only credible candidates are allowed to context election. They are also suffering from the tyranny, of primitive and wicked Presidents.
Dictators, ill-educated or half-educated persons, should not be allowed to rule over countries. Many of them have shrines inside Government Houses; with ‘juju priests’ they pay exorbitant fees (above minimum wages). They have relegated God Almighty to the background. And assume godliness mostly during election period. They appear in religious gathering in Mosques and Churches; and much published donations from their loot. Hypocritical worshipers! These are heartless, desperate politicians: whose conscience has been seared with hot iron. They believe political campaigns begin from worship centres. These charlatans are unperturbed, when people are being slaughtered like animals here and there. They aid and abet terrorist, rapist gangs. Let them not forget God’s injunction; that he who lives by the sword hall perish by the sword.
Bad and evil rulers, have insatiable appetite to use their positions to steal and accumulate wealth; to the detriment of the masses. Many want to be richer than the countries they govern. Billions of dollars are siphoned by them into foreign banks and other hiding places. Yet, same rogues go to those countries to borrow money to share among themselves in the guise of financing projects.
In Nigeria today, stolen money is being hidden in burial grounds, overhead tanks, uncompleted buildings, underground houses, and so on. Over 21 billion naira, and other items, were recently recovered from the house of sacked DSS boss, a kinsman of the current President; when the latter was on medical vacation, and his Vice became Acting President on his behalf. Will the corrupt, sacked DSS Boss be recalled? In Nigeria, anything can be possible. Our rulers (overlords), are getting richer, while the people are getting poorer. The local currency is steadily loosing values. Nigeria has no true leader to show shinning example for others to follow. They and their predecessors are all rogues! Blaming their failures on their predecessors, is like a kettle calling the pot black. Who should probe who?
They and their family members, acquire expensive property in choice places around the globe; while the masses are dying of hunger, and for non-payment of their salaries and pensions. Our wicked rulers behave as if they won’t depart from this world one day. “And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, the ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
“And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you. Then whose shall those things be, which you have provided? So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God”—Luke 123:16-21. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and lose his soul? It shall profit him nothing.
Tribalism: Bane Of The Society.
Wicked rulers use tribalism, nepotism, and religious bigotry, to divide and rule the people; as well as perpetuate themselves in power. They don’t believe in equity, or even development of their countries. They pay lip service to nationalism.
They falsely believe the superiority of their ruling tribes over others; whom they see as second-class citizens. All their actions are geared toward subjugating the latter; or relegating them to the background, in the scheme of things.
This is responsible for most of the conflicts and civil wars in many nations; especially in Africa countries. It has happened in: Uganda, Liberia, Congo Kinshasa, and other nations. Almighty God gradually wiped out those dictators from affected countries. There are more troubled nations on earth today, including Syria and Myanmar. The troubles border on tribalism and religious fanatism, of myopic tyrants.
In Nigerian, people from the Northern part of the country, especially the Fulanis, believe it’s their birthright to rule or lord it over the rest of the tribes forever. Therefore, they do everything they can both in military or civilian regimes, to sustain their self-imposed lordship over others citizens, even if it means shading blood. This will enable them to control and possess the vast mineral resources, particularly crude oil, being produced in the Southern part of the country. Northerners allocate most of the oil wells in Niger Delta (oil producing areas), to themselves. It has turned a lot of them to emergency millionaires and billionaires; at the expense of owners of the land, who are wallowing in abject poverty, with environmental degradation everywhere.
Of course, it has made Northern-dominated Nigerian Government rulers to be super-rich, with stolen billions banked abroad. Now, in order to strengthen their grip on power, they make sure key positions in the country are manned by Falanis; so that they can beat down any opposition, or voice of dissent against their hegemony. That is why they occupy virtually all front-line security posts in the; Military, Police, Civil Defense, DSS, EFCC, name them, despite being tiny minority in population. Fulanis are about six percent of the entire Nigerian population.
They control every sector of the economy or governance. Where they are not directly in charge, they have deputies; even more influential than the incumbents. They are holding the people of Nigeria to ransom. This local imperialism or internal slavery must come to an end.
Their occupation of those exotic positions is not based on merit in most cases. There are multitude of non-Northerners and non-Muslims, who are much better than them all round; but have been sidelined. They are there to pursue Hausa/Fulani hegemony: instigated by the wicked and selfish British Imperialist Government. Britons came to colonize us with bibles in their hands; while they are deeply entrenched in occult, and gay practices. They have virtually made the Southerners slaves to Northerners. God Almighty will judge them.
If placement is based on competence or qualifications, most of those mediocres won’t be anywhere near those positions. They are there for tribal, nepotistic, and Islamic agendas. And they know the people of the South, are generally much more competent and academically sound; who are predominantly Christians. These taskmasters do everything to sideline them under suitable pretext. At the same time, they shout “One Nigeria.” Hypocrites!
They use quota system and discriminatory “cut-off” score marks, against more brilliant Southerners, in school enrollments, recruitment into cadet schools, and regular intake into armed forces. Then, they turn around to use tribalism, nepotism, Islamic religion, and so on, when it comes to promotion, placement, and employment in Government establishments.
Take for instance, entrance examinations into Unity Secondary schools, Universities, Defence Academy. They raise the score lines for candidates from the South, far above those from the North, before they can gain admission; in some cases twice the scores. They graduate, with Southerners performing better than Northern counterpart generally. However, the latter are much favoured in job opportunities, and rise rapidly through the ranks; above their superiors. The so-called quota system doesn’t work in this situation.
It only works where the North is at disadvantage. Why then won’t people agitate for self-determination? Igbos from South East are highly marginalized in all areas, including infrastructural development. The struggle for actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, is very legitimate, and long overdue. Our rulers are wicked. A lot of these Northerners, who are directors in civil service, and high ranking officers in Armed Forces, fail promotion exams, up to three times in a row. Yet, they are retained and promoted. Even the ones sacked for redundancy, are recalled when a Northerner assumes power. This is enthronement of mediocrity in its entirety.
Extreme Poverty Breeds Crimes
Poverty was the root cause of insurgency in Nigeria. Then, the Northern elite hijacked it to further their selfish and political ambitions. Today it has assumed dangerous dimension, and has boomeranged on them.
There has been extreme poverty in the land including Northern Nigeria, despite availability of huge mineral resources like crude oil. People discovered they are suffering in the midst of plenty. Our rulers, their families, sycophants, and other hangers-on, are living in affluence. They drive exotic cars, own chains of houses, have private jets, among others. But, the ordinary people can hardly feed twice a day.
Then, the commoners in the North (Talakawas), began to see the elite and their western education as evil. They regard them as using Western education (ability to write and speak very well in English), to exploit the masses. The so-called educated elite are living flamboyant and ostentatious lifestyles, to the detriment of the ordinary people living in penury. Therefore, the latter believe Western education is evil. They formed themselves into a group, and began to protest against Government’s insensitivity to their plight. President Musa Yar’adua decimated and killed many of them. Nevertheless, they remained resilient, and fought back.
Later, Goodluck Jonathan, a Southerner took over as President of Nigeria, Northern elite discovered they could oust him from power, by sponsoring Boko Haram, to cause turmoil in the country that could bring down his Government, through rebel activities. Of course, the elite introduced religious and tribal dimensions into their struggles. Prior to 2015 Presidential elections, some Northern politicians said, “Attack on Boko Haram, is an attack on the North.” They eventually rode on the back of the insurgents to power.
Now they are ruling the country, they wrongly think they can easily crush the rebels_ the ladder by which they climbed to power. The rebels felt betrayed; and became highly determined to carry on the struggle. As a result, they are now wrecking much havoc; especially in the North Eastern Part of the country, like Borno and Yobe States.
Adoption of females, and demand for ransom running into millions of dollars, appear to be their major survival strategies. Nigerian Government has spent fortune, fighting insurgents with the financial and material support, from International Community. Yet, it couldn’t end the rebellion; though Government has been gaining upper hand in the fight.
Thousands of civilians, and hundreds of soldiers have been killed. Hundreds of women and girls, have been adopted. Many of the released females have been put in a family way. There seemed not to be an end to the conflict in sight.
Had it been about half of the billions of dollars being spent in fighting insurgency, is channeled into fighting poverty in the country, there won’t be need for all these bloodletting and wastages. Even if Nigerian Government spends the entire annual budget to confront insurgents and other terrorists, it can never wipe them out. It cannot solve the problem of adoption of females, and ambush of soldiers either.
Let our rulers stop wasting billions fighting Boko Haram. They should themselves turn a new leaf; and stop looting the treasury. Let them address monumental unemployment and poverty in the country. They should resuscitate moribund industries scattered everywhere in Nigeria. Pay up workers and pensioners regularly. Clear all arrears owed them. Our rulers should bring back billions of dollars they individually stole, and banked abroad for development of the country.
Many of the criminals in the country like: kidnappers, robbers, oil bunkers, are skillful and educated professionals and graduates who are jobless. They are nowhere near public office holders, who steal millions and billions from the treasury using pen, and hide them in foreign banks or burial grounds. They are the jumbo-sized criminals in the society; unarmed robbers! Ransom being paid to insurgents doesn’t go round. There are millions of people in Nigeria who are very hungry; made destitute by our heartless and wicked rulers.
I advise Northern cabal to be fully aware of dangers and consequences of financing, aiding and abetting terrorists, Fulani Terrorist Herdsmen, as well as other rapist, killer gangs in the country. Those Northern sponsors may achieve, their narrow minded objectives temporarily. Later, they will begin to have devastating effects on them; of which they can’t control. Now, the insurgents are ravaging their land; bombing Mosques, killing people and so on. By inciting them to release all other captive in that questionable Dapchi Kidnap in Yobe State, and holding on to the only Christian in their midst won’t hold water.
Inciting all manner of hoodlums, and armed gangs against law-abiding Christians, won’t survive the test of time. Many influential persons in the North, including Traditional Rulers and politicians, instigate violence against non-Muslims and other tribes, by making inciting statements. Many have been burnt alive, along with their property. Some have been brutally murdered while preaching the gospel. One thing they should bear in mind is that God Almighty will judge everyone according to his deeds. He said, “The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him. And the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him”—Ezekiel: 18-20.
One thing is clear. The gate of hell shall not stand against the people of God. When the chips are down, we will overrun the whole of Nigeria with the gospel; to drive away darkness and false religions out of the land! The spreading of the gospel has gone beyond crusade. We therefore call for a change of attitude; for God looks down in the kingdom of men to pay everyone according to his deeds.
